DPRD Highlights Residents In Cars Living In Rusunawa, DKI Provincial Government: This Is Our PR

JAKARTA - Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD highlighted that there are residents with middle and upper class economies who can live in simple rented flats (rusunawa) owned by the DKI Provincial Government.

Chairman of Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Ida Maheasy, gave an example, he received a report that a RW chairman received a residence in Rusunawa Penjaringan. In fact, according to him, the RW chairman is not worthy of occupying the flat because he is classified as capable.

"The head of the RW in his Penjaringan does he deserve to live there? He's an entrepreneur, you know. Is that person worthy of living in a flat? He looks like a boss and really boss, it turns out," said Ima during a working meeting at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Tuesday, July 11.

Similarly, Member of Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Husen, also said that residents who have motorized vehicles such as cars and motorbikes can live in flats.

"Why does this have a motorbike that can enter (get) Rusunawa? Why is it like this? Please, executives, their sensitivity to the people," said Husen.

In fact, Husen said that there are still residents with a lower economy who are more worthy of housing for flats with affordable monthly rental fees.

"In Jelambar in RW 8 there are 11 RTs. There are families staying at home twice two (meters). Even though the KK DKI, DKI ID cards," he said.

In response to this, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area (DPRKP), Retno Sulistiyaningrum, did not deny the non-compliance of this group of residents of the Rusunawa.

Retno said this was an evaluation material to re-check the implementation of the rules for the residents of the flats.

"Indeed, that's homework for us, we will re-evaluate. By NPWP, he is no longer there. So in the flats, (he could) put it elsewhere. Later we will re-evaluate it," said Retno.

Retno also explained why residents who own motorized vehicles can live in flats. He suspected that when registering as a potential occupant of the flat, the person concerned was recorded as having no car, so he could escape and receive the Rusunawa unit.

"It could be that at the time of the list he didn't have a vehicle. But on a long journey, he could have had it. His name is still growing. So later we will evaluate it," he added.
