7 People Died And 2 Survived When Falling From The Az Zahrah School Elevator Bandarlampung

Bandarlampung City Police (Polresta) is still investigating the case of the death of seven people due to falling from the Az Zahrah School elevator in the local city on Wednesday, July 5 afternoon.

"Currently we are still investigating the incident, what was the cause, resulting in an accident that killed seven people," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bandarlampung Police, Kompol Dennis Arya Putra, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 6.

He revealed that in the fateful tragedy there were actually nine people who were victims, but two others survived and were being treated at the hospital.

"The victims are all builders. So these nine people use elevators to transport goods, while the designation is to load people," he said.

So, he said, there may be an overload or load on the elevator, which causes accidents that cause casualties.

"We will develop this incident. Is there a criminal element in it later in development," he said.

He also mentioned that currently the victims have been taken to the Bumi Waras Hospital, and generally the victims suffered fractures.

Doctor Arli, who served at the Bumi Waras Hospital, confirmed that of the nine people who were taken to the hospital, seven of them had died.

"Nine people were brought here, then seven of them have died. Most of the victims suffered spinal cord injuries, and two are still in intensive care," he said.
