PT Transjakarta has added its fleet service, namely the JAK33 Microtrans to the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Central Jakarta from July 5 to July 16, 2023.
The JAK33 Microtrans service for the Pulo Gadung - Kota route via JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, serves the JIExpo Pintu 1 area, JIExpo Pintu 7, and Gambir Expo Pintu 2.
"This mode of transportation is also directly connected to Jakarta City Station, Rajawali Station, and Pulo Gadung Terminal," said Head of the Public Relations Department and CSR Transjakarta Wibowo in his statement, Tuesday, July 4.
The JAK33 microtrans route Pulo Gadung - Kota via JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta operates every Monday - Sunday at 05.00 WIB-22.00 WIB. People can use Microtrans services at a rate of Rp0 or free with an electronic money card (KUE).
Wibowo said that the provision of the JAK33 Microtrans was Transjakarta's effort to facilitate community mobility to visit the Jakarta Fair.
Given, in the afternoon until evening, roads around JIExpo such as Jalan Benjamin Sueb are often hit by traffic jams due to the large number of vehicles that want to visit the Jakarta Fair.
“ We want to facilitate the community with Transjakarta services during PRJ activities. In addition to facilitating community mobility, we hope that the presence of a special JAK33 route can add alternative public transportation modes to PRJ,” explained Bowo.
Transjakarta previously also provided four special routes to JIExpo Kemayoran, including the 2C (Balaikota-JIExpo) route, the PRJ1 route (PGC 1 - JIExpo Kemayoran), the PRJ2 route (Matraman Baru - JIExpo Kemayoran), and the PRJ3 route (Pulo Gadung 1- JIExpo Kemayoran).
Previously, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency appealed to people who want to go to the Jakarta Fair (PRJ) to use public transportation to reduce congestion in the area.
"Of course we urge the public to continue using public transportation," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Syafrin Liputo, quoted on Friday, June 30.
People who want to go to PRJ can use the Commuter Line KRL (Electric Railroad) down in Kemayoran. "Then there a'shuttle bus' has been prepared," he said.
According to Syafrin, visits to PRJ are getting more and more crowded during the Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijri holiday and long weekend holidays.
Syafrin said that the traffic jam had been quite long since Tuesday, June 27 when visitor vehicles filled the queue to enter the PRJ parking lot.
"Any traffic congestion or traffic jam occurred in the Benjamin Sueb Street area, then on Jalan Angkasa and the surrounding roads," said Syafrin.
