The Construction Of The Ciroyom Flyover In Bandung City Is Targeted To Be Completed By The End Of 2023

BANDUNG - The City Government (Pemkot) of Bandung, West Java, is targeting the construction of the Ciroyom Flyover on Jalan Arjuna Kota Bandung which crosses the railroad tracks near Ciroyom Station to be completed by the end of 2023. Acting Mayor of Bandung, Ema Sumarna, said that the infrastructure development has now reached 33.5 percent. The target was also conveyed in order to ensure certainty over the project to the community. "If this is not certain, it will degrade public trust. Even if there is a delay, it must be communicated immediately," said Ema in Bandung, West Java, Antara, Tuesday, June 27. During the construction process, the construction of pedestrian bridges (JPO) needs to be made immediately. Because JPO can be used by the community without having to turn to other access to cross the area. "Rel and flyover must be built along with the construction of the JPO. In fact, if possible, the JPO is prioritized to finish first. Don't let the community be hampered by their activities many times," said Ema. Head of the Bandung City Railway Engineering Center, Cendrawan, said that currently the construction process includes pierhead planting, finishing body and pierhead installation, body mixing, body casting, pier head casting, and finishing administration. He also ensured that the construction would prioritize the JPO to be built first. So that he will temporarily close the area next to the flyover project. "We will build a JPO. To facilitate residents on Arjuna Street, we will build a road on the left side of the flyover," he said. In addition, according to him, the construction of the flyover will have an impact on one of the cultural heritages belonging to the Bandung City Government which will be affected by the animal slaughterhouse (RPH). "There is a cultural heritage that will be affected, namely the slaughterhouse (RPH). We need to get a recommendation from the DKPP for the guard post," he said.

The construction of the flyover was carried out in order to facilitate public vehicle traffic without being hit by the closure of a railroad crossing. Because in the future, the intensity of the Commuter Line Bandung railway will be more to support the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train.
