Arrest Stolen Car Collectors Containing Vespa In Cisarua, Bogor Police Hunt For Main Perpetrators

The Bogor Resort Police (Polres) arrested a car dealer containing a Vespa motorcycle that was missing in Tugu Selatan Village, Cisarua, Bogor Regency. The thief is still being chased by the police.

Bogor Deputy Chief of Police, Kompol Fitra Zuanda, said the collector with the initials HSH (48) was arrested at his workshop in the Cikaroya Village area, Cianjur Regency.

Fitra explained that this theft was known based on reports of car losses containing Vespa in Tugu Selatan Village, Cisarua, Bogor Regency, on June 2, 2023 at 04.30 WIB.

At that time, the victim with the initials MRI, who is the owner of the vehicle, was conducting a series of preparations at his friend's residence to participate in a modification contest for the Vespa motorbike in the Sentul area.

When ready, the Vespa motorbike was put in an MRI minibus which also belonged to MRI. However, the car and its contents were lost when they were parked in front of a friend's house.

"Based on this information, an investigation was carried out at the scene," said Fitra during a press conference at the Bogor Police Headquarters, Monday, June 26, which was confiscated by Antara.

Then, 20 days after the theft, the police received reports that the stolen cars and Vespa were at a workshop in Cianjur Regency.

From the results of the examination of the suspect HSH, the Suzuki Futura car containing Vespa was purchased from a man with the initials R at a price of Rp. 10 million.

"By HSH, the frame number and engine number of the four-wheeled Merk Suzuki Futura have been changed by welding and knocked," said Fitra.

The HSH suspect, he said, is a specialist recidivist in the detention of stolen vehicles who has had several cases.

Fitra emphasized that R, the alleged perpetrator of the theft in this case, is being chased by his party.

Against HSH, Fitra said the police suspected Article 363 or 480 of the Criminal Code regarding theft with the Weight of four wheels or vehicle Evil Assistance with a threat of 10 years in prison.
