President Jokowi Summons Prabowo To The Palace

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo met with Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto in the afternoon at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.

"Yes, I was summoned by the President, before the President," Prabowo said when he arrived at the presidential palace, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, June 26.

Prabowo did not mention the special agenda that will be discussed with the President.

"I just returned from abroad, so I reported. It's normal for the minister to be summoned by the President," he added.

Prabowo previously saw firsthand the Dassault Rafale fighter at the Paris Air Show 2023 aerospace exhibition at Le Bourget, France.

Rafale is referred to as a state-of-the-art technology fighter that Prabowo realized. The Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) on February 10, 2022 has signed a contract to purchase 6 Rafale fighter aircraft.

Prabowo only laughed when asked that the conversation would allude to politics.

"Ha ha ha, that's according to the basic budget of each party," said Prabowo briefly.

Previously, Prabowo met privately with President Jokowi at the Bogor Palace, while having lunch together, on Sunday (18/6).

The meeting was also displayed on Prabowo's Instagram account.
