FPI Demands Disbandment Of Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School And Arrest Panji Gumilang

JAKARTA - The Islamic Brotherhood Forum (FPI) held an action of 266 at the Office of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, Jalan Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, June 26. In its action, the demonstrators demanded the revocation of permits and permanent closure of the Az-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School. In addition, protesters from the FPI period also asked Panji Gumilang to be arrested. Quoting a video that was spread by an IBTV account (Islamic Brotherhood Television) that FPI invites members and Muslims to participate in demanding the Al-Zaytun conflict.

"Let's follow and attend the 266 FPI (Islamic Brotherhood Forum) action with the people on Monday 26 June 2023 at 13.00 WIB until it is finished at the Central Ministry of Religion Office," said the account quoted on Monday, June 26. As for the demands of the action, FPI asked the government to revoke the permit and permanently close the Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School because it had taught its students heretical ideology.
