620 Traffic Police Control Vehicle Flows During BBK To Prepare Parking Bags

Polda Metro Jaya deployed 620 traffic personnel to prevent vehicle congestion during the Bung Karno Month (BBK) event in the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) area today. Because, it is predicted that thousands of buses will come with participants of the activity.

"About 620 personnel around GBK. That's all for this activity. We need to anticipate the security arrangements to parking arrangements," said Director of Traffic of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman to reporters, Saturday, June 24.

Then, a situational traffic engineering will be implemented. However, the scheme that will be implemented has not yet been detailed.

Latif only said that his party would also provide parking bags. Because, it is predicted that 2,000 buses will come to SUGBK.

"There is no bus parking along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman and Gatot Subroto. The parking lot that we will maximize is at Monas, Aldiron, Smesco, and Kemayoran. The last Kemayoran is because it is full of activities," he said.

On the other hand, Latif also appealed to the public to avoid the SUGBK area. So, the community will not be trapped in traffic density.

"It is hoped that people who have no interest can avoid GBK, the Sudirman-Thamrin route," said Latif

Previously it was reported that President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin were said to be present at the peak of the Bung Karno Month event at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) on Saturday, June 24.

"Mr. President, Mr. Vice President, and several ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet have stated that they are pleased to attend," said PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto.

Meanwhile, other invitations, such as the general chairman of political parties, are still being confirmed. However, Hasto confirmed that the invitation had been sent.

"This afternoon I reported to Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri (Chairman of PDIP) that all general affairs of anyone who is coming are still being confirmed," he said.

"So tomorrow morning we will convey it after there is complete confirmation," continued Hasto.

Furthermore, Hasto said that the peak BBK event would start at 10.00 WIB starting with entertainment. Then the peak warning will be held from 13.00 WIB.

"At 13.00 WIB, all participants are ready to follow the party's protocol. Then a party task force, opening dance, and all party protocols will be displayed and it is hoped that it can be carried out effectively at 13.30 WIB," he said.
