DKI Provincial Government Affirms Jakarta To Remain A Center For The Economy And Culture

JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta emphasized that at the age of 496 years, the City of Jakarta will remain the center of the economy, culture, and nodes of national ethnicities in Indonesia and the world.

"This is a special moment to reflect on the history of the achievements and potential of the future of the City of Jakarta," said DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary (Sekda) Joko Agus Setyono while attending the evening of the 496th Anniversary of the City of Jakarta at the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2023 reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 21.

Therefore, he continued, his party gathered to celebrate the 496th Anniversary of DKI Jakarta.

Joko said that the celebration of the 496th Anniversary of DKI Jakarta this time carried the theme 'Jakarta, Jadi Karya Untuk Nusantara'.

In addition, he said, the anniversary of DKI Jakarta also showed optimism in optimizing all its resources.

"Also realizing community welfare and sustainable development, becoming a barometer of the archipelago, as well as a trigger for progress for other regions in Indonesia," said Joko.

The DKI Provincial Government hopes that the momentum of the 496th Anniversary of the City of Jakarta means hope to make Jakarta a global and international city in the field of service economy.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, said Joko, will also continue to strive to realize the ideals of forming a society, just and prosperous country.

PT JIExpo is expected to participate in advancing the industry, especially the exhibition, trade and tourism industry in order to strengthen the domestic economy through the implementation of the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran.

The celebration of the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran is a form of synergy between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and PT JIExpo in presenting exhibitions of various superior products for the community, both those who live and visit Jakarta.

"Once again, I would like to express my appreciation to all ranks of PT JIExpo as the partner of the organizers, sponsors, event supporters, as well as participants from within and outside the country who participated in the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2023," Joko explained.

Since 1968, the Jakarta Fair has provided space to celebrate the progress of the City of Jakarta as well as being one of the iconic exhibition events featuring various quality products, entertainment and recreational purposes.

The presence of the Jakarta Fair provides an atmosphere typical of celebrating the anniversary of the City of Jakarta, as well as being a forum to optimize the potential of local products, open up entrepreneurial opportunities for the community, and empower micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Previously, Marketing Director JiExpo Kemayoran Ralph Scheunemann said this year's Jakarta Fair Kemayoran was attended by 2,500 participating companies consisting of 1,500 booths showing off superior products with discounts or discounts.
