Alert Status, BMKG Estimates Drought In NTB To Expand By The End Of June

MATARAM - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) stated that the potential for meteorological drought in the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) region is expected to expand at the end of June 2023. "In this dry season period, the community remains aware of the potential for a drought that may occur in the future," said BMKG forecaster West Nusa Tenggara Climatology Station, Cakra Mahasurya Atmojo Pamungkas, quoted by ANTARA, June 21. BMKG also issued an early warning of meteorological drought at the Alert Level in the East Lombok District, Suele, Sukamulia, and Terara Districts. As for Alert Levels, it is located in Dompu Districts in Kempo, Kilo, Pajo, and Woja Districts. Then Bima Regency in Belo, Palibelo, Wawo and Kota Subdistricts of Raba. In addition, in Mataram City (Maram District), West Lombok Regency (Gerung, Kediri, and Lembar Districts), and Central Lombok Districts (Janapria, Jonggat, Praya, West Praya, Southwest Praya, Central Praya, and East Praya Districts). In East Lombok Districts (Jerowaru and Sambelia Districts), North Lombok Districts (Baman Districts), Sumbawawa Regency (Labuhan Districts, Badas Lape, North Moyo, Moyopilir, Plampang, and Rhe), as well as West Sumbawa Districts (Maluk and Sekongk Districts).
