AMBON - Ambon Island Police and PP Lease arrested two suspected perpetrators of the persecution and confiscation of a short-barreled firearm belonging to members of the TNI-AD from the Intelligence Detachment (Denintel) Kodam XVI/Pattimura, Elpiawan.

"The two perpetrators who have been temporarily secured and temporarily prosecuted are DN (29) and HW (25)," said Ambon Island Police Chief and PP Lease Kombes Raja Arthur Simamora in Ambon as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 20.

Meanwhile, two other suspects with the initials RB alias Beret and BM who also abused the victim Elpawan on February 27, 2023 in Wakal Country, Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku, are now on the wanted list (DPO) by the local Police.

He said the perpetrators DN and HW were arrested based on reports made by Elpawan victims after undergoing medical treatment due to the stab wounds he suffered.

According to him, the two perpetrators were charged with violating Article 170 paragraph (2) to 2e of the Criminal Code and or Article 351 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code and or Article 351 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code Juncto Article 55 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

The incident took place on Monday (27/2) at around 17:30 WIT when the victim Elpawan and witness Amir Idhamsyah, who is also members of the TNI-AD from Denintel Kodam XVI/Pattimura, were carrying out their duties in the Wakal area, after the conflict between Hitu residents and the Wakal residents.

At that time the victim and the witness were passing through the Wakal Country, precisely in front of the Jambu Manis complex, which was intercepted by local residents. At that time, one of the perpetrators of HW alias Buce approached the victim and stabbed the victim using a machete once towards the victim's back.

Furthermore, the perpetrator DN alias Paper beat the victim once using a fist at the victim's head.

Meanwhile, the Beret perpetrator also hit the victim twice using a fist that hit the victim's face and stomach, then took a firearm / gun belonging to the victim.

After that, the perpetrator AM also headed for the victim, causing one of the victim's teeth to break and as a result of the actions of the perpetrators, the victim was evacuated to the hospital for medical treatment.
