Findings In The Banyumas Banjaran River Confirmed Baby Bones, Police Are Looking For Fertilizers

BANYUMAS - The Banyumas City Police (Polresta) has begun to search for the perpetrators of burying babies on the banks of the Banjaran River, Tanjung Village, Banyumas Regency, Central Java.

Head of the Banyumas Police Satreskrim Kompol Agus Supriadi Siswanto said the certainty of the finding was the baby's bone based on the results of a forensic examination.

"Based on the identification of the Forensic Team of Prof Margono Soekarjo Hospital, Purwokerto, the findings of objects suspected of being human bones are indeed baby bones," he said in Purwokerto, Banyumas, Tuesday, June 20, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said the baby's bones were estimated to have been buried for about a year.

According to him, the estimate is based on the condition of the cloth or clothes found wrapped in the baby's bones.

"Therefore, we are currently looking for the perpetrator who had the heart to bury the baby or the body of the baby whose bones were found last week," he said.

He said that based on the statements of five witnesses who were residents around the location of the discovery, several names appeared leading to the perpetrators.

In fact, he said, from the testimony of witnesses it was known that there was a woman who was known to have been pregnant and her womb was reported to have had a miscarriage.

"We will immediately conduct an examination to find out whether the miscarriage is true or not. We will try to uncover this case as soon as possible," said Kasatreskrim.

The objects suspected of being human bones were found by two workers, Slamet (50) and Purwanto (44) on Thursday, June 15, while leveling the land from the former pond that Prasetyo Utomo had just purchased (42), a resident of Tanjung Village, RT 01 RW 02, South Purwokerto District, Banyumas, about three months ago.

When a worker, Purwanto admitted that at that time he was beside Slamet who was hoeing the mound on the land on the banks of the Banjaran River.

According to him, Slamet was surprised by the presence of cloth bundles buried in the ground.

"Pak Slamet asked me 'what is this', I also ordered him to pull the cloth which turned out to be three pieces of clothes. When it was pulled it turned out that there was a bone like a skull that had been destroyed," he explained.

The findings were then reported by the land owner, Prasetyo Utomo, to the Head of RT 01 RW 04 Saryono and forwarded to the local Bhabinkamtibmas officer.

"In essence, if it is indeed human bone, I hope it can be moved and buried properly. If there are other problems, I will leave it entirely to the police who will carry out the investigation," said Prasetyo Utomo.

South Purwokerto Sector Police (Polsek) officers together with the Banyumas Police Inafis Team and the South Purwokerto Health Center who came to the location on Thursday, June 15 afternoon, immediately conducted a crime scene (TKP) and collected objects suspected of being human bones to be taken to Prof. Dr Margono Soekarjo Hospital Purwokerto.
