Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi checked the progress of the construction of supporting facilities for the operation of the feeder train (feeder) from the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train (KCJB), in West Java (West Java).
The supporting facilities that were checked were the flyover construction project and the pedestrian bridge (JPO) in Ciroyom and Cimahi.
"Through a number of constructions of these facilities, it is hoped that it can improve safety, security, comfort and smooth travel for the KCJB train and reduce road traffic congestion," said the Minister of Transportation as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, June 17.
The Ministry of Transportation said that the construction of the flyover and JPO at Ciroyom Station and at the Military Police Education Center (Pusdikpom), Cimahi was part of a level crossing handling program carried out by the Ministry of Transportation through the Class I Railway Engineering Center of Bandung, Directorate General of Railways (DJKA).
The construction was carried out to eliminate a number of level crossings on the 14.66 km (Padalarang-Bandung)feeder KCJB (Padalarang-Bandung) train line.
The Ministry of Transportation reported that funding for the construction of the flyover and Ciroyom JPO was sourced from State Sharia Securities/SBSN with a contract for the 2022-2023 multi-year year whose work is targeted for completion by the end of 2023.
Meanwhile, for the flyover and JPO at Pusdikpom, Cimahi will be proposed to be financed through SBSN in 2024 and currently coordinating with relevant agencies including the Pusdikpom.
In addition to the two flyover points and the JPO that will be built by the Ministry of Transportation, there are also three other points built by related agencies, namely the Sriwijayaunderpass which have been completed by the Cimahi City Government and two other points that are being built by the Gatot Subroto Flyover by the Department of Highways and Spatial Planning of the West Java Provincial Government and the Garuda Flyover by the Ministry of PUPR.
