DENPASAR - Denpasar Immigration Office, Bali, detained foreign nationals (WNA) from the United States at the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim) for blocking and damaging police cars.

Denpasar Immigration Chief Tedy Riyandi explained that the detention of the foreigner named Thomas Charles Flach (TCF) at the Denpasar Rudenim was carried out after being transferred from the Bali Police.

"Furthermore, because we don't have a ticket to return to their home country, we are currently securing him at the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 16.

The 44-year-old will soon be deported to the United States and subject to deterrence.

In accordance with Article 102 paragraph 1 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration, deterrence can be carried out a maximum of six months and each time can be extended for a maximum of six months.

Even so, he has not confirmed the timing of the deportation of the TCF.

Previously, on Thursday (15/6) TCF had to deal with the police after blocking the State Police School (SPN) official car on Jalan By Pass Ngurah Rai Sanur Denpasar.

At that time, he was wearing black long-sleeved clothes and a cloth covering his head white, suddenly intercepting the police service car.

TCF also broke the car tie at the front and hit the hood of the car.

From the results of the examination, it was found that the action was carried out spontaneously after he lost some of his personal belongings, one of which was a passport.

The video of the ambush of the official car recorded by netizens has gone viral on social media.

Although he was questioned by the police, he was not further prosecuted and handed over to Immigration for deportation.
