Asking For Examination Postponed By The End Of The Month, Syahrul Yasin Limpo Was Recalled By The KPK Monday 19 June

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) immediately recalled the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) regarding the investigation into alleged corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture. The letter will be sent so that SYL fulfills the summons.

"The investigative team immediately sent back the invitation for information to be present on Monday, June 19, 2023," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Friday, June 16.

"After the letter is sent, Syahrul is expected to show his nose at the KPK's Red and White building," said Ali. His statement is needed to clarify the allegation.

"We hope and believe that the person concerned will attend the next invitation," he said.

"So that we can immediately conduct an analysis to determine the next stance at the stage of this investigation process," Ali continued.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, said investigators had canceled examining Syahrul. The reason is that the NasDem Party politician is on duty to India.

Syahrul was later said to have asked for a postponement of the examination for up to two weeks. "(Syahrul Yasin Limpo, ed) requested that the examination be postponed to June 27, 2023," said KPK Deputy Chair Nurul Ghufron to reporters, Friday, June 16.

Previously, the KPK confirmed the investigation into alleged corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture. This was in response to the circulating news that the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo along with two of his subordinates, KSD and HTA were also involved in allegations of corruption.

This action was carried out since early January. Dozens of people have been questioned, such as officials and state civil servants (ASN) at the ministry.
