Human Bone Suspected Object Found In Banyumas, Police Investigation Wait For Hospital Forensic Results

The police are investigating objects suspected of being human bones found by residents of Tanjung Village, Banyumas Regency, Central Java (Central Java).

"Today (June 15), at around 14.00 WIB, we received a report from Slamet's brother (42) that he found objects suspected of being human bones while clearing the land," said Head of South Purwokerto Police Commissioner Puji Nurochman at the location of the discovery, Thursday, June 15, confiscated by Antara.

He said, based on this information, his party immediately coordinated with the South Purwokerto Health Center Team and the Banyumas Police Satreskrim Inafis to carry out the crime scene (TKP).

From the crime scene, he said, his party collected objects suspected of being human bones to be taken to the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Prof. Dr Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto for forensic examination.

"Forensic examinations are carried out to determine whether this is human bone or not," he explained.

Puji admitted that the police could not confirm the discovery of this suspected human bone. He asked to wait until the forensic results were released.

"We are still investigating," said the police chief.

Meanwhile, the owner of the land, Prasetyo Utomo (42) admitted to employing two local residents, namely Slamet (50) and Purwanto (44) to flatten the land he had just bought about three months ago.

According to him, the land located on the banks of the Banjaran River was previously a fish pond.

"So I cleaned it and flattened it first because there were a lot of embankments in the pool. Later I don't know what it's for, the important thing is that it's flat," he explained.

However, at around 11.00 WIB, he said, one of the workers named Slamet when digging the ground found an object suspected of being a bone wrapped in a cloth.

According to him, the findings were then reported to the Head of RT 01 RW 04 Saryono and forwarded to the local Bhabinkamtibmas officers.

"In essence, if it is indeed human bone, I hope it can be moved and buried properly. If there are other problems, I will leave it entirely to the police who will carry out the investigation," he said.

One of the workers, Purwanto, said that when the object suspected of being a human bone was found, he was beside Slamet holding the mound.

At that time, he said, Slamet found a shirt and when he was pulled it turned out that there was a skull-like bone.

"Pak Slamet asked me 'what is this', I also ordered him to pull the cloth which was three pieces of clothes. When it was pulled it turned out that there was a skull-like bone that had been destroyed," he said.
