Bribery Lukas Enembe Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison

JAKARTA - Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua as the defendant in bribing the inactive governor of Papua Lukas Enembe, Rijatono Lakka, was sentenced to five years in prison by the Panel of Judges for the Corruption Crime Court (Tipikor) of the Central Jakarta District Court (PN).

"The defendant was sentenced to five years in prison and a fine of Rp. 250 million, provided that if the object was not paid, it was replaced with imprisonment for six months," said Chief Judge Dennie Arsan Fatrika at the trial at the Corruption Court, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 14.

The panel of judges said that the defendant Rijatono Lakka was legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption that was carried out together and continued.

The panel of judges said that the defendant Rijatono was guilty of committing a criminal act whose criminal threat was regulated in Article 5 Paragraph (1) Letter a of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes Jo. Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code Jo. Article 64 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

"Determining that the detention period that has been carried out by the defendant is deducted entirely from the sentence imposed," saidDennie.

The things that incriminate the defendant Rijatono Lakka were that the defendant's actions did not support the Government's program in an effort to eradicate corruption and the defendant was considered convoluted in providing information.

"The situation is mitigating, there are no mitigating things," continued the judge.

Rijatono's verdict is the same as the demands of the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), which was previously submitted at the trial at the Corruption Court, Jakarta, Tuesday (6/6).

In that case, Rijatono Lakka was charged with giving bribes worth Rp35,429 billion to Lukas Enembe in the form of cash and the construction of assets belonging to the Governor of Papua for the 2018-2023 period.

The KPK prosecutor previously said that Rijatono Lakka gave a prize of Rp35,429,555,850, consisting of Rp1 billion in cash and the construction or physical renovation of assets worth Rp34,429,555,850 to Lukas Enembe.

This was done with the intention that Lukas Enembe together with the Head of the Papua Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) for the 2018-2021 period, Gerius One Yoman, to win Rijatono Lakka companies in the procurement project for goods and services within the Papua Provincial Government for the 2018-2021 Fiscal Year.

For the intervention of Lukas Enembe through Gerius One Yoman, during 2018-2021 Rijatono Lakka, 12 projects were sourced from the Papua Regional Budget with a total project value of Rp110,469,553,936.
