Sandiaga Prepares A Tourism Package Ahead Of The 4 Day Coldplay Concert In Singapore

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno said his party was trying to make tour packages in Batam City and Bintan, Riau Islands as an opportunity for Coldplay concerts to be held for four days in Singapore.

"And Singapore, if it is officially four days (the Coldplay concert) we must take anticipatory steps so that (the Indonesian people) do not flock, whether they can depart from Batam, we will make tour packages in Batam," Sandiaga said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 12.

With this opportunity, he continued, his party is ready to create tourist opportunities in Batam City and Bintan as part of the Riau Islands (Kepri) to become the second gateway for tourist arrivals after Bali.

Until now, his party admits that it is asking for an additional one day of concert so that the total Coldplay concert in Indonesia is held for two days. Although he has not received a definite answer from the concert organizers, Sandiaga asked the public not to be too disappointed and sad about what happened.

"I don't think we should cry too much for spilled milk, spilled milk bowls, but we're looking for a solution, maybe we can make a tour package but stay (the Coldplay concert audience) in Bintan or Batam.

By prioritizing good prejudice, he continued, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy wants a situation that may be considered a disaster to bring blessings.

The Coldplay band is reportedly adding to the music tour schedule titled "Music of Spheres World Tour" in Asia for four days in Singapore.

The band, which is fronted by Chris Martin, is planned to appear at the National Stadium, Singapore on 23.24.26 and January 27, 2024.
