BOGOR - The Bogor Regency Government, West Java, through the Environment Agency (DLH) will transport garbage around residential areas, in Bojonggede Village which accumulates up to two meters high.

Bojonggede Village Head Dede Malvina said his party had coordinated with the Bogor Regency Environmental Service (DLH) to carry out garbage transportation that was troubling local residents.

"I have received news of a response from DLH, they are ready to drop off any car, people are ready to work together, Mr. RT and RW can mobilize the community as well," said Dede as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 12.

He targeted DLH to transport the piles of garbage within three days. Then, the land around 3 x 2 meters will later be used as an environmental park by the Bojonggede Village Government.

Dede admitted that he had responded to the problem of piles of garbage that had occurred since 2017. One of them is by fencing and giving an appeal to the public not to throw garbage back in that place.

However, the garbage disposal site is apparently managed by several residents, but not professionally.

"How can garbage near densely populated areas be burned every day, with rainy conditions quite high, and the last problem is 2021," he explained.

Dede also admitted that he had asked the manager to be responsible, because the pile of garbage often had problems, ranging from emitting unpleasant odors, to flooding during the rainy season.

"It is impossible for residents to have collected (cost) but the garbage is still accommodated there, there must be more cooperation with DLH or private," said Dede.

He hopes that after the pile of garbage is transported by DLH, the public can dispose of waste in a coordinated manner by the RT, RW and DLH Bogor Regency.
