Not Only Couples, Polda Metro Believes There Are Other Suspects In The Saudi Arabian TIP Case

JAKARTA - The criminal case of trafficking in persons (TPPO) with the mode of employing Saudi Arabia continues to be developed even though it has determined a husband and wife (couple) with the initials AG and F as suspects. Polda Metro Jaya believes that other parties are involved in the syndicate or network.

"I am sure we will get other suspects than the 2 suspects we have secured," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Auliansyah Lubis to reporters, Thursday, June 8 evening.

This belief is based on the pattern used by the two suspects. For example, regarding passport making. Because, there are many conditions that must be met in the process.

Dozens of victims who have been arrested are residents of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). It is believed that there are parties who help find people to be sent to Saudi Arabia.

"It was true that the first question was that brother AG and the F did not work alone," he said.

"So later there will be the passport maker, someone will carry out activities for health checks, then someone will recruit them at their place of origin, because these victims come from NTB, and then later someone will receive them at their destination," continued Auliansyah.

However, Auliansyah has not been able to talk much about this. This is because the two suspects have not conveyed all about the series of TIP actions.

"But we can't convey it here yet, because this is only yesterday and we took action earlier, we are still developing and deepening it," said Auliansyah.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya arrested two suspects in a criminal case of trafficking in persons (TPPO) with the intention of being exploited.

"Two suspects, namely a man with the initials AG and a woman with the initials F," said Auliansyah.

The Sub-Directorate Team for 3 Environmental Resources (Sumdaling) received information and conducted an investigation in the Kebon Jeruk area, West Jakarta.

"On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 17.00 WIB, an investigation was carried out at a house on Jalan Haji Kotong Number 3 RT 11 RW 3, Kebon Jeruk Village, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta and it was found that the house was used as a place to accommodate prospective Indonesian Migrant Workers," he explained.

Auliansyah explained that from the shelter there were 15 people who would be dispatched abroad.

"The house is used as a place to accommodate 15 prospective Indonesian migrant workers who will be dispatched to work in Saudi Arabia," he explained.

Then after that, the Ditreskrimsus developed and re-discovered seven victims.

"The address is at Jalan Tengah No. 38 RT 013 RW 007, Cijantung Village, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta, so that the total number of victims is 22 people," he said.
