A Number Of Traders At Ciplak Cipinang Market Defend The Perpetrators Of Sexual Harassment Of 10-Year-Old Boys, Victims Are Surprised That They Are Even Defended

JAKARTA N, the parents of the victims of sexual harassment by 10-year-old elementary school students at Ciplak Market, apparently received intimidation from Ciplak market traders, Cipinang Besar, East Jakarta. According to victim N's statement, he was under pressure from his fellow perpetrators, when questioning what was meant by holding his son's sensitive area.

N also said that the intimidation he experienced also occurred during the mediation process at the Ciplak Market security post. Perpetrators of harassment who continue to avoid getting support from other market traders, resulting in various screams and insults against N, the victim's parent M.

"This man (the perpetrator of the harassment) was rude, I was angry as a mother, I defended my child. But instead they were angry and said don't take justice into their own hands. Then the market people shouted for the perpetrators. These people continued to defend this father (the perpetrator) and I became emotional," said N when confirmed by VOI, Monday, May 30, afternoon.

Feeling pressured and continuing to get intimidation from other market traders, N and M, his daughter who was the victim of abuse, left the market security post.

"Finally we got out of the market, because they market people started to get angry and scream as if who was wrong, I became confused. Even though my son was the victim, this father (the perpetrator) defended him," he regretted.

In fact, inappropriate words were also made by Ciplak Market traders against N.

"How fair is it, how come we are shouted at by prostitutes instead of all kinds of things. Shouted at the market, people actually attacked us. Even though the father (of the perpetrator) held my son, how come the perpetrator was defended," he said.

M (10) a 4th grade elementary school (SD) student became a victim of sexual harassment at Ciplak Market, Jalan Pancawarga 1, South Cipinang Besar Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, Tuesday, May 30, noon. The incident occurred at around 12.30 WIB.

Until this news was revealed, the perpetrator planned to report it to the East Jakarta Police.
