17 Countries Interested In Investment In IKN

The Capital Authority of the Archipelago (OIKN) noted that 17 countries are interested in investment in the capital city of the archipelago, East Kalimantan (Kaltim).

"Alhamdulillah, the good indication is that around 17 countries have entered (attend) investment in IKN," said Deputy for Green Transformation and Digital Authority of IKN Mohammed Ali Berawi in an online seminar to develop the capital city of the archipelago as a Tangguh City, Net Zero and Circular Economy reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 19.

Ali said that until May 7, 2023, OIKN had receivedLetter of Intents (LoI) for investment in IKN, namely more than 200 private companies, both domestic and foreign, and this number certainly continued to grow.

OIKN in 2024 focuses on developing a complete ecosystem in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN. As for the construction of the 1A KIPP IKN Planning Sub-Division with a total land area of 2,876 hectares and a development area of 921 hectares.

The IKN Planning Team has now handled a total of 3,115 plots of land, where for the KIPP Planning Area (WP) there are 798 plots.

The types of kaveling at the KIPP IKN WP are for the residential sector as many as 257, education as many as 94 plots, health as many as 22 plots, trade and services as many as 165 plots.

Then for private offices as many as 3 plots, 116 plots of public infrastructure, 110 plots of government, 28 plots of security defense and 3 plots of transportation.

As for WP IKN Barat, 1,070 plots were allocated, then WP IKN Timur 1 as many as 875 plots and WP IKN Timur 2 as many as 372 plots.

Previously, OIKN and Dubai investors, United Arab Emirates (UAE), the company Alsekal Group - Envirol signed a Non Disclose Agreement (NDA) for the waste management sector at IKN Nusantara.

OIKN Deputy for Funding and Investment Agung Wicaksono said this was proof that investment interest from the Middle East was progressing. The United Arab Emirates is one of Indonesia's partners and relatives.

Alsekal Group - Envirol signed NDA with OIKN in the field of waste management, especially waste fat, oil, and greed (FOG), as support for realizing smart and green city in the archipelago.
