A total of six houses in Telo Island Housing, West Strait Village, Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan Province (Kalteng) caught fire on Monday, May 8. "Based on the report we received, the fire occurred at around 08.10 WIB," Kapuas Pahanatan Sinaga Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPDB) told reporters in Kuala Kapuas, Antara, Monday, May 8. The fire occurred precisely in the settlement of Jalan Nuri 2, RT.05 RW.04, a residential area of Telo Island, West Selat Village, Selat District. The fire quickly burned down the house building because most of it was wooden and semi-permanent, and the distance from the house was close. Dozens of firefighters were deployed, both government and self-employed firefighters. The fire can be extinguished an hour later. "Efforts to extinguish the fire were carried out by the Kapuas BPBD TRC, the PP and Fire Service, the private fire department, volunteers and local residents. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the police," he said. The results of the team's data collection at the scene, as a result of this incident, a total of six housing units were burned, with details of empir being heavily damaged and two moderately damaged. After the fire incident, one of the owners of the house managed to find some of the money stored at home. It is estimated that Rp. 25 million with one hundred thousand rupiah denominations neatly tied to rubber sap, and some of the money caught fire.
