MAKASSAR - The slum settlement in Bontomannu, Mariso District, will be transformed into an Integration Special Allocation Fund (DAK) area. This re-arrangement was conveyed by the Deputy Mayor of Makassar, Fatmawati Rusdi.
Fatmawati Rusdi said that the arrangement of this slum area had been approved by the central government and its budget sources through DAK Integration.
"This area will be transformed into an Integrable Special Allocation Fund (DAK) area. Where, the center in this case, the Ministry of PUPR together with the Makassar City Government will immediately reorganize this slum area," he said while visiting slum areas in Bontomannu, Makassar, Saturday.
Apart from being reorganized, said Fatmawati, residents' houses will be renovated and even rebuilt into environmentally friendly houses.
The facilities will also have utilities and also the construction of public facilities, as well as the arrangement of trash bins.

"This Bonotomarannu will be replicated in other sub-districts, especially in suburban areas. We hope that in 2024 it will not only be in Bontomannu. Hopefully in 2024, what has been done in Bontomannu can be adopted," he hoped.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Makassar City PKK TP, Indira Yusuf Ismail, who participated in monitoring the Bontomarannu slum area, added that later after the arrangement later this slum area would become a comfortable place for residents.
