Ganjar Pranowo Becomes A Strong Internal PAN Choice For The 2024 Presidential Election

Chairman of the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the National Mandate Party, Bima Arya Sugiarto, said Ganjar Pranowo was still a strong candidate within the party to run as a presidential candidate in the 2024 General Election.

This is based on the results of the national working meeting (Rakernas) held by PAN. However, until now PAN has not officially decided to support Ganjar Pranowo.

"It's still being discussed internally by PAN. Not yet," said Bima Arya, Saturday, May 6.

PAN is still in the process of internal discussions to determine the political stance regarding the prospective presidential candidate to be promoted and supported in the 2024 presidential election.

Moreover, PPP which is part of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) has determined the presidential candidate's support for Ganjar Pranowo.

The general chairman of PAN, Zulkifli Hasan, said that his party would follow up on presidential candidates with meetings of political parties between candidates and between parties.

However, Zulkifli Hasan also emphasized that PAN will continue its national commitment to the advancement of the Republic of Indonesia.

Although there are three presidential candidates who will appear to the surface, such as Anies Baswedan, Ganjar Pranowo, and Prabowo Subianto who have been supported by several political parties, Bima said that the grand coalition has been realized and these figures have their respective directions.

Deputy Chairperson of PAN, Viva Yoga Mauladi, stated that his party would welcome the discourse of forming a major coalition to be realized soon.

According to him, a large coalition can enlarge the social and constituent bases so that it will increase the vote in the 2024 presidential election.
