PKB Claims Golkar Will Close To The Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition

JAKARTA - PKB DPP chairman Faisol Riza claimed that Golkar had agreed to join forces to add members of the Greater Indonesia Awakening (KIR) coalition initiated by PKB and Gerindra. "Golkar has a long experience in government, Gerindra and PKB need that to make Indonesia more advanced," said Faisol in a written statement received in Jakarta, Thursday, May 4, confiscated by Antara. This was said by Faisol to reveal the results of a meeting between the General Chairperson (Ketum) of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin and Golkar Ketum Airlangga Hartanto which took place at the Senayan Courtyarding Resto, Jakarta, Wednesday, May 3. As for the PKB and Golkar cooperation scheme, said Faisol, was to prepare for the presidential election victory (pilpres), by strengthening the suspension of Prabowo and Cak Imin as presidential candidates (candidates) and vice presidential candidates (candidates).

"The cooperation scheme between PKB and Golkar to prepare a presidential election winning scheme is to enlarge KIR and strengthen Mas Bowo-Cak Imin," said Faisol.

Faisol juga menjelaskan bahwa masing-masing PKB dan Golkar telah menunjuk tim teknis pembentukan koalisi besar setelah Koalisi Indonesia Bersatu (KIB) ditinggalkan PPP.Lebih lanjut, Faisol mengatakan pertemuan Golkar dan PKB dalam acara halalbihalal pada Rabu 3 Mei merupakan bagian dari upaya pembentukan koalisi besar tersebut. Kedua partai itu menyatakan sepakat menjadi bagian tim inti dari koalisi besar.
