Police Direct Motorized Distribution From Bakauheni To Panjang Harbor

Bandarlampung City Police (Polresta) stopped motorcyclists going to Bakauheni Port, South Lampung and directed them to Panjang Harbor, Bandarlampung, which was used as an alternative to the 1444 Hijri Lebaran backflow.

"We are diverting the flow of the drivers who will go to Bakauheni to Panjang to meet the quota on the Dobonsolo ship which will cross to Ciwandan Port, Banten," said Head of Turjawali Polresta Bandarlampung Ipda Tajudin, in Bandarlampung, early Sunday morning.

He said that the sweeping diversion point was carried out in three locations, namely at the T-junction between Jalan Ir Sutami and Sukarno Hatta (Bypass), the T-junction of Ambon Bypass Bay, Ambon Bay on Jalan Yos Sudarso and at the entrance to Panjang Port.

"In addition to diverting to Panjang Port, this is also so that motorcyclists do not achieve on the way because they have to go to Bakauheni," he said.

He also said that to facilitate information to the investigator that even at Panjang Port can serve crossings, the Bandarlampung Police have installed signs.

"To make it easier for the drivers to go to our Panjang Port on the orders of the Bandarlampung Police Chief Kombes Pol. Ino Harianto to have made large signs at a number of points so that the drivers do not get lost to Panjang Harbor," he said.

He also said that the sweeping transfer activity would continue until the backflow at Panjang Port was completed, but this also depends on whether the quota provided by ASDP has been fulfilled or not.

"Tomorrow there will be a diversion if the quota that has been calculated by ASDP cannot meet the ship's capacity. Last night there were not many motorbikes that could be diverted because a few had been caught," he said.
