Central Lombok Heavy Rain, Flood Police Dormitory

The Central Lombok Police Dormitory, West Nusa Tenggara, was flooded after heavy rains hit the local area from noon to evening.

"Yes, the Central Lombok Police Dormitory was flooded," said Central Lombok Police Public Relations Officer, Iptu Hariono in Praya as reported by ANTARA, Friday, April 28.

Floods due to heavy rains made the river water behind the dormitory overflow and entered the yard of residents and the Central Lombok Police prayer room.

In addition, several houses along the river flow near the back of the Central Lombok Police were flooded with adult feet.

"Many rooms are empty, there are no casualties. For the affected families, we are still collecting data," he said.

According to journalists at the flood site, a number of members were seen cleaning up garbage that clog the flow of river water, so that the water receded quickly.

In addition, residents are also preparing tents in higher locations to be used as refugee camps while waiting for the water to recede. The flood conditions began to recede, after the rain began to stop, but the weather was still cloudy.

"The number of affected residents is around 32 families," said Iman, one of the Praya residents.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning of the potential for light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in the West Nusa Tenggara region for the next three days.
