Highlights Of Homecomers Bringing 3 Passengers In 1 Motorbike, Police Remember The Danger Of Lurking On The Road

The Karawang Regency Police appealed to all people who take part in the 2023 homecoming not to carry luggage exceeding the carrying capacity of the vehicle carrying.

Karawang Police Chief AKBP Wirdhanto Hadicaksono said excessive burden has the potential to endanger travelers while driving on the road, because it makes the vehicle too heavy.

Wirdhanto highlighted that many travelers who use motorbikes often carry loads of goods exceeding the existing dimensions. Some were also caught carrying three to four passengers on one motorbike.

He also appealed to motorized travelers to comply with existing traffic signs and immediately rest if they are tired and sleepy.

He said the Karawang Police had prepared 22 posts including 20 safety posts and two posts for services.

In each post, a number of facilities have been provided, including facilities related to loss reporting, traffic flow monitoring, health service posts, with supporting facilities such as free wifi, free device chargers and massage chairs which are expected to loosen the bodies of travelers who are tired while crossing around the Karawang area.

Furthermore, Wirdhanto said that to prevent all forms of criminality for travelers, his party had installed 16 CCTVs at points in the form of arterial roads and areas that were considered traffic vulnerabilities along with alerting 1,637 personnel at these points.

Meanwhile, CCTV along the toll road has also been prepared, although the preparation is the authority of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk.

"We will really provide services to problems or problems for every travelers who cross the Karawang Regency route. We are ready to provide the best service as this year's slogan is safe and memorable homecoming," he said in Karawang, Sunday, April 16.
