JAKARTA - Until today, the police have arrested 46 suspected terrorists after the terror suicide bombing at the Medan Police Headquarters. Of these, 23 of them belong to the Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) network of North Sumatra and Aceh. They have links to the terror action at the Medan Police.

Of the 23 suspected terrorists, 4 of them surrendered. In fact, from the prosecution there were 2 suspected terrorists who were shot, they had the initials NP and K. Both were shot for opposing the authorities. NP and K's assault left a policeman injured in the hand and back.

From the investigation, suspect K was a figure who planned terrorist acts in Medan. Meanwhile, NP played a role in helping k make the bomb that was detonated by Rabbial Muslim Nasution.

"The role of the NP who died was to participate in making explosives with K. Then (suspect K) found out, planned a criminal act of terrorism committed by RMN's brother," said Dedi.

In addition, dozens of suspected terrorists who have joined the JAD network are currently undergoing intensive examinations. The suspected terrorist network who was arrested has a leader, with the initials Y alias Anto.

From the series of arrests of suspected terrorists in Aceh and North Sumatra, the police confiscated evidence in the form of bomb-making materials, urea fertilizer to black powder, which were allegedly used to assemble low explosive bombs.

"There is black powder, there is urea fertilizer and other types that are used to make bombs. All of these are low explosives or bombs that have low explosive power," said Dedi.

Meanwhile, outside the JAD network in North Sumatra and Aceh, 23 suspected terrorists were arrested in several places, including Jakarta, Banten, West Java and East Kalimantan.

"For the Banten region, after the suicide bombing at the Medan Police Headquarters there were 4 people named as suspects, 3 people from Jakarta, 9 people from Central Java, 6 people in West Java and 1 person in East Kalimantan," Dedi concluded.
