JAKARTA - The Mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini, stated that Persebaya supporters, Bonek Mania, will definitely feel happy because there is a toll road leading to Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium.

"The ones who are happy are bonek friends because it will be easier for you to watch Persebaya compete," he said during the installation of piles, reported by Antara, Friday, October 9.

The toll road access to the GBT Stadium is currently under construction, even the supporters only need 2-3 minutes from the toll road before the exit of Romokalisari.

"It is estimated that from the middle of the city (in the area of Jalan Embong Malang), at least 15 minutes will arrive," said the number one person in the Surabaya City Government.

Meanwhile, PT Margabumi Matraraya (PT MBMR), as the manager of the Surabaya-Gresik Toll Road, today erected a modified construction pole for the Romokalisari Simpang Susun, one of which is the main access to the GBT Stadium.

In addition to GBT, the construction of the project also facilitates and accelerates access to the West Outer Ring Road (JLBB) with Teluk Lamong Harbor.

The project construction process which is located in Benowo District is targeted for completion in July 2021.

"The target of the management is completed in 10 months, then in September 2021 the U-20 World Cup will be held," said Risma.

The GBT Stadium will be one of the six venues for next year's U-20 World Cup matches.

The other five stadiums are Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (DKI Jakarta), Manahan Stadium Solo (Central Java), Kapten I Wayan Dipta Gianyar Stadium (Bali), Si Jalak Harupat Stadium Bandung (West Java), and Jakabaring Stadium Palembang (South Sumatra). .
