Competing At The Grammy Awards, Boygenius Says Ready To "Fight Dave Grohl In The Parking Lot"

JAKARTA - Boygenius worked together, they were "ready to fight Dave Grohl" in the parking lot after they were nominated in the same category at the Grammy Awards.

The Grammys' official YouTube streamed immediately announcing a list of nominations on November 10. The winner, will be announced at the 67th Grammy Awards ceremony on February 4, 2024 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Boygenius consisting of Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus was nominated for six Grammys including Album and Record of the Year for The Record.

Bridgers was also nominated for the seventh Grammy for his work in Ghost in the Machine with SZA.

Speaking to Billboard ahead of their Saturday Night Live with Timotmar Chalamet on the evening of November 11, the three reflected their nominations including in the same category as Foo Fighters for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song.

When asked how they felt about it, Bridgers said'very stupid' but then joked, 'I think we had to fight Dave Grohl in the parking lot.'

Baker agreed, saying 'we have to do that. We have to challenge him to eat beef,' before Dacus added: 'I saw firsthand how hard he hit the drums; I won't fight Dave Grohl. His arm is something else. Apparently, he has muscles and likes to fight.'
