Keith Richards Doesn't Put Aside The Rolling Stones Hologram Concert

JAKARTA - In a new interview with Matt Wilkinson at Apple Music 1, Keith Richards spoke about the possibility of The Rolling Stones being the focus of ABBA-style digital avatar events.

Launched in May 2022, ABBA's virtual concert featured four members of Swedish pop groups Agnetha Faltskog, Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad turning into digital "ABBAtars".

The digital concert, which was held at the ABBA Arena, which was built specifically at Queen Elizabeth Park, London, took more than a billion hours to process, and the ABBA members spent five hours a day in front of 160 units of movement catchers for a month.

"Well, I certainly wouldn't rule that out. I'm pretty sure that's going to happen. Do I want it? Now, that's another thing," the 79-year-old guitarist said.

"But I don't know if I want to last long enough, my friend. But at the same time, it doesn't depend on me, does it?"

Meanwhile, Keith's bandmate, Mick Jagger, previously alluded to the possibility of Stones carrying out a "tour after death" last month while speaking to The Wall Street Journal.

You can have a posthumous business now, can't you? said the 80-year-old singer. "You can have a tour after death. The technology has been really advanced since the ABBA concert, which I should have attended, but I caught it."

In July 2022, Jagger was asked by Matt Wilkinson at Apple Music 1 how he plans to ensure Stones' legacy remains alive in the next 50 years or more.

"It would be stupid if I gave you just one line answer, because honestly I haven't thought about it," said the vocalist.

"The ABBA problem gives you this kind of technological breakthrough, which I've never actually seen. I should have gone and seen it, but there was a train strike. So I didn't have time to leave. I couldn't get on the train, but the traffic was really bad, so I couldn't answer it."

"Of course technology will give you some answers to this, and who knows what technology will be in the future?"
