The Reason Wawan Juniarso Left Dewa 19 After Undergoing Part Of The Second Album Record

JAKARTA - Wawan Juniarso is the first drummer from the band Dewa 19. In fact, his name acronym completes the name of the band that is still being used today.

In the video uploaded to the LEGEND VIDEO YouTube channel, Ahmad Dhani again questioned the reason why Wawan left the band.

"Do you remember, what was the reason for Wawan to leave Dewa 19? Was Wawan expelled or expelled himself?" said Ahmad Dhani at the beginning of the video, seen Monday, October 23.

Wawan who fired Dewa, said Wawan Juniarso jokingly.

Then, Ari Lasso, who was surprised and tried to remember, said that he did not clearly know the reason for Wawan's exit.

"Including me and Dhani having discussed for a long time, what was the decision to leave at that time?" asked Ari Lasso.

Wawan said that the decision to leave at that time was only discussed with Ahmad Dhani. He felt that music was not the way he chose to be a priority.

"The only thing that remembers is me and Dhani. Initially our commitment was to go to college, number one in college. I talked to Dhani, I want that commitment," said Wawan.

Since then, Wawan, who has recorded six songs on his second album, has not continued recording.

That way, Dewa 19 is looking for another drummer to fill the drums on the Future Format album released in 1994.

For information, after using additional drummers for a while, Dewa 19 decided to replace Wawan Juniarso's position with Aksan Sumatra.

To fill the acronym vacancy 'W', Aksan Sjuman chose the stage name Wong Aksan after joining Dewa 19.
