Rarely Exposed, Elements Still Often Perform And Release Songs

JAKARTA - Element announced Ibank's return to fill the position of bass player. As a first step, the man with the full name Muhammad Gibran Aziz became an additional player.

Outside of Ibank's entry, according to Ferdy Tahier (vocals), Elements are still active, although rarely exposed. The band, which debuted in 1999, is still releasing songs.

"Without realizing it, you don't know, Elements always release singles. But they are not promoted, so just come out," said Ferdy Tahier when met in Kemang, South Jakarta on Wednesday, October 18.

Ferdy sees that with the current progress of the music industry, there is no reason for him to stop working. He sees that today's technology has made it very easy for musicians to continue producing works.

"Because there is no more gap to not be able to work," he said.

The gig offer for Element is also still ongoing, although it cannot be compared to their golden age in the 2000s.

"The stage can be eight times a month. The element is still a tough gig," said Ferdy.

The 50-year-old vocalist also saw many young people today hear songs from the 2000s. He sees the phenomenon as giving new hope to many musicians of the same generation.

"Actually, I think it was TikTok who sang the song (in the 2000s). On TikTok, many use old songs, so old bands go up again," said Ferdy Tahier.

"Yes, Alhamdulillah, so my old friends, the bands that I work for at many more jobs. Recently, there must be a lot of work, if it's been a long time, it's already a pity, it's already having a wife and children," he concluded.
