Jinjer's New Album Writing Process Is 80 Percent

JAKARTA - In a new interview with MoreCore.TV conducted at the Rock Am Ring festival last weekend in N\"ourburgring, Germany, bassist Eugene Abdukhanov of Ukraine's modern metal unit, Jinjer spoke about the progress of the songwriting session for their new album.

"Many new music has been written. Demo [has] been recorded," said Eugene regarding the follow-up to the band album 2021, Wallflowers quoted from Blabbermouth, Monday.

"I think we waited a while, the point where we just said, 'OK, let's start,' and then we went to the studio and recorded a new album," he explained.

"I think in terms of music, in terms of material terms, we reached 85 percent of the new album."

Asked about the musical direction of Jinjer's new material, this is Eugene's word.

"There will always be something that has never been [there] before. Otherwise, there is no need to make new music."

"It's hard to say now what's really going to happen," he continued. And to some extent, I just don't want to make new spoilers. But it will definitely be different from the previous album."

"On the album Wallflowers, I think we went even [in] direction of good metal, to some extent, because there are some parts that are very slow and very moody," he added.

"On the album, new, to some extent, in some ways, it's heading the other way - maybe the direction of death metal, something like this. Something very strong, once again fun and something that just touched you, hit you straight into the face."
