To Hold Solo Tour, Bret Michaels Reveals Poison's Future

JAKARTA - Bret Michaels will start his Parti-Gras solo tour this summer. What will happen to Poison?

Last August, Bret told SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" that Poison fans may have to wait until 2025 to see the band perform again after The Stadium Tour in 2022.

The delayed North American tour of Poison with Def Leppard, Motley Crue, and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts was originally planned for 2020 and then moved to 2021 and then to 2022. The Stadium Tour ended last September in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Meanwhile, in 2018, Poison completed the Nothin' But A Good Time tour with Cheat Trick and Pop Evil. The last Poison album containing new material was Hollyweird in 2002. A cover album, Poison'd, followed five tahn later.

Now, Bret will start his solo tour in July for his limited schedule for his Parti-Gras 2023 tour. He stressed to People magazine that Poison is not going anywhere.

"There is brotherhood there," he said. "We never break up."

Bret also talked about the famous backstage fight between him and guitarist CC DeVille at the 1991 MTV Video Music Award. Immediately after that, CC DeVille was sacked and replaced by Richie Kotzen, who remained in the group until 1993, and played on the album Native Tongue.

Kotzen was later replaced by Blues Saraceno, before DeVille rejoined the band in 1996.

"The CC and I are 99 percent always together," Bret told People. "When it got bad, it turned into a fight. Farewell [at that time] was heartbreaking for me, but he was one of my best friends now."
