JAKARTA - The band from Jakarta, Fourtwnty released a new album titled Nalar. This is their third album after being absent for five years since 2018.

The album Nalar contains 10 songs that tell a lot about a person's personal suffering to mental problems.

"Nalar is a medicine for those of you who may have something that cannot be cured, we make this drug in such a way," said Ari Lesmana, Fourtwnty vocalist, about the meaning of this album in theme. Before the album Nalar was released, Fourtwnty has released three singles since 2020, including Nematomorpha, Goyang Chair, and Mangu.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, April 20, to coincide with its anniversary, Fourtwnty also released a video clip from Larasuka, a song that was used as a focus track from the album Nadar.

Fourtwnty's development as a real musician is very heard in this album. There are several new elements from musical arrangements, notations including the use of instruments that show this development.

We can hear the musical 'conversation' between Ari and Nuwi which is sweet and progressive. On the one hand, we hear Ari's vocals that are increasingly expressive, on the other hand, Nuwi's magical twists again simplify on every recording of this album.

Another example of Fourtwnty's development in this album is in a song called High. In addition to being Fourtwnty's first English song, High is also a differentiator of other songs in terms of arrangement. However, it is still performed with their characteristics. Ari and Nuwi also poured out the collaboration concept on this album in collaboration with Charita Utami to sing in the songs Mangu and Eka from Sisitipsi who fill the bass in the song Pintu Keluar.
