Electrum Reveals Its Electric Motor Sales Strategy To Assembly

JAKARTA - The local electric vehicle manufacturer, Electrum, has officially announced the launch of their first model, H5. With extensive baggage capacity, advanced features, and considerable cruising power.

In a press conference held in Jakarta on Thursday, November 9, Patrick Adhiatmadja, Managing Director of Electrum, revealed that they are still waiting for a response from the public regarding the adoption of two-wheeled electric vehicles. This will affect their decision to mass sell motorbikes in the domestic market.

We are still seeing the adoption of a two-wheeled electric vehicle like what. If our motorbike is worth selling mass, we will sell it, "said Patrick.

In addition to focusing on increasing local production, Electrum is building a factory facility in Indonesia which is expected to be completed in 2025. Currently, Electrum H5 is still imported from China.

"The construction of our factory is going according to plan. We hope to operate in the first or first half of 2025," Patrick added.

Electrum H5 offers an advantage in terms of a trunk capacity of up to 25 liters, capable of accommodating helmets and two batteries, while still having a compact design. State-of-the-art features such as keyless start allow users to turn on the bike without a key, while the integrated ELMA app monitors vehicle conditions and provides information regarding the nearest BSS (Battery Swap Station) location.

In terms of performance, H5 is supported by a 4 kW dynamo at 3,000 rpm and a 30 Nm torque at 1,600 Nm, with a maximum speed of 90 km/hour and acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h in 6 seconds. This motor is capable of traveling a distance of up to 120 km with two batteries and 60 km with one battery, thanks to the use of nickel-based lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 1.8 kWh.

In addition to the launch of H5, Electrum also established strategic partnerships with well-known companies, including Pertamina, with the aim of placing battery exchange stations at several gas stations in Jakarta. This step is expected to improve supporting infrastructure for electric vehicle users in the capital.
