MIFA 9 Maxus Electric SUV Launches In Malaysia, Present In 2 Variants

JAKARTA - Maxus officially launched MIFA 9 for the Malaysian market, becoming the first full-electric MPV to be available in two variants, namely luxury and premium.

Reporting from the Paultan page, Thursday, November 9, this car is imported intact (CBU) and ready to compete with the latest Toyota Alphard and Vellfire, with its advantage as a full electric vehicle.

In terms of design, this electricity MPV was launched earlier in Indonesia at the GIIAS 2023 event, and did not experience any changes, with a length of 5,270 mm, a width of 2,000 mm, a height of 1,840 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,200 mm.

The electric motor has an output of 241 hp and a torque of 350 Nm, powered by a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery. The battery range reaches 435 km for the Luxury variant and 430 km for the Premium variant based on data (WLTP).

This electric car has a maximum speed of 180 km/hour, with an acceleration of 0-100 km/hour in just 9.2 seconds. AC charging capability reaches 11 kW with a charging time of 8.5 hours from 5-100 percent. As for DC charging (120 kW), charging time from 30-80 percent only takes 30 minutes.

Standard features for both variants, Luxury and Premium, include double sliding doors, 19-inch wheels (with different designs for each variant), and overall lighting using LED lights. The second row is equipped with massage facilities to increase passenger comfort.

This electric car has three driving modes, namely sport, normal, and eco. In addition, it is also equipped with a number of safety features, including a brake assist, airbag, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.

The MIFA 9 Luxury variants are sold starting from 269,888 ringgit or around Rp898 million, while the Premium variant is sold from 289,888 ringgit or around Rp965 million. This price is more affordable than in Indonesia which reached around Rp1.4 billion
