Kia Global Sends Letter To Dealers In The United States For Not Raising EV9 Prices

JAKARTA - Kia Global sent a letter to dealers in the United States not to raise prices and as recommended by the manufacturer for a Kia EV9. Quoted from the CarsDirect page, Sunday, November 5, the contents of the letter from Kia Global asked dealers to sell EV9 as recommended, without any mark-ups. "The EV9 subscription is an important new owner for the Kia brand, and price transparency will be the most important part of their purchasing experience. We ask dealers to retailly sell EV9 without a mark-up above the manufacturer's Recommended Retail Price,” read the letter. As is known, this futuristic car will begin arriving in the United States before the end of 2023, and customers will be able to make reservations with a nominal value of 56,393 US dollars or the range of IDR 870 million for the Light version. For the United States market, this three-line electric SUV is available on five trim levels, including Light Long Range RWD, Wind AWD, Land AWD, and GT-Line AWD. The first model sent to the American market will be imported directly from South Korea, but the company has plans to start local production of the EV SUV at West Point, Georgia, sometime in 2024. The increase in the price of Kia's car is not the only time this has happened, for the EV6 model it received a large price increase from several dealers when it was launched in America, even reaching 20,000 US dollars or around IDR 311 million.

However, the increase was inevitable, because many costs were incurred to bring this one's car to the local market.
