GM Leaks Details Of Next Generation Chevrolet Bolt EV

JAKARTA - General Motors (GM) has confirmed that the next generation of Chevrolet Bolt EVs will undergo some changes to increase consumer satisfaction. General Motors CEO, Mary Barra, provides an overview of the next generation Bolt EV in a third quarter report.

"With the new model later, we will present a more up-to-date driving experience and ease of charging. We are very concerned about customer preferences and are trying to improve this aspect," he said, as quoted from the AreaEV page, Monday, October 30.

Although Barra did not provide further details, he emphasized that this compact electric car will be the first Ultium-based vehicle in North America to use an LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery.

"We managed to save billions of dollars in capital investment and technical costs by presenting more economical battery packages based on LFP cells," he added.
