Chery Omoda 5 GT Starts Sending Late This Month

JAKARTA - After launching at the end of last September, the Chery Omoda 5 GT is announced to be sent to customers starting at the end of October with the FWD variant to be distributed first. Then, the AWD type followed in September.

PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) has completed the production of the SUV completely Knock Down (CKD) or locally to fulfill the request for this car order from September to October.

"We are very enthusiastic about this production process because this is one of our ways to prove a fast, professional, and time-appropriate Chery work system that we have promised," said Qu Jizong, Executive Vice President of PT CSI, in a statement received by VOI, Friday, October 27.

Having a design similar to other Omoda 5 variants, this highest variant appears with a touch of orange on some components such as bumpers, mirrors, back spoilers, and some other parts, giving a quite striking sporty impression.

The Chinese manufacturer has also updated the goal design with the "Omode" emblem seen at the front and rear of the vehicle.

Chery Omoda 5 GT is equipped with a 1.6 liter turbo TGDI engine capable of producing 197 dk of power and 290 Nm of torque. The impressive smell of dental displacement is also felt thanks to the use of seven accelerated dual-clutch transmission (DCT) transmission.

Despite having a powered engine, Chery still pays attention to fuel efficiency with the Intelligent Combustion System (iHEC) system which makes it reach 6.8 liters per 100 km. This technology increases thermal efficiency by 41 percent, so that the resulting power is used efficiently.

Meanwhile, for a more enjoyable driving experience, this SUV is equipped with a Multilink suspension. The Chery Omoda 5 GT has six driving modes, including Eco, Normal, Sport, Gravel, Mud, and Off-road which can be selected through the vehicle driving system.

Not only improving performance and other sophistication, but Chery is also paying attention to safety aspects in it. The SUV received safety test certification from the Australian NCAP and is equipped with six airbags.

PT CSI will soon sell this SUV at a price starting from IDR 448.8 million for the FWD variant and IDR 488.8 million for the AWD On The Road DKI Jakarta variant.
