This Old Land Cruiser Is Refreshed To Be An Electric Vehicle, Present At The 2023 Japan Mobility Show

JAKARTA - The current development of electrification trends is unstoppable, even this phenomenon has begun to spread to converted old vehicles. Some parties have done so in old models of fuel such as Land Rover, Porsche, and Mercedes-Benz. It's also a trigger for Tonox and Flex to do the same.

The Japanese company presents the Land Cruiser FJ60 model which is converted into an electric vehicle. This SUV will also decorate the 2023 Japan Mobility Show.

Reporting from Car Watch Impress, Wednesday, October 18, Tonox and Flex started the restoration with an alarming FJ60 condition with a holed body, peeling paint, and some missing parts.

With the engine running out, the mechanics makes new seats to hold the electric motor. The power plant is made smaller and placed lower in the engine room than the original one. As a power source, the battery is placed on the back.

Unfortunately, the company has not provided technical specifications. However, it can be seen from the video uploaded by the 'Flex' on the official Youtube channel, that the car is driven by an electric motor through a four-wheel drive.

The restoration of the Land Cruiser by turning it into an electric vehicle (EV) is nothing new. Previously, a vehicle maker in Australia created a Land Cruiser powered by electric propulsion. Uniquely, this car can be driven underwater as far as 7 km.

The power is claimed to come from an electric motorcycle powered by 118 dk. The man said that his creations were like 'Kepiting Bakau' because they were covered in orange and creeped along the base of Darwin Harbor.
