Toyota Land Cruiser Tua Is Still Sold For Almost IDR 2 Billion

JAKARTA - Land Cruiser is an iconic model produced by Toyota. This model has been born in five generations and is known as a tough car crossing off-road or on-road arenas.

One of the golden generation of this car is J40 or FJ40 which was introduced in the early 1960s. Despite having old age, this car is in great demand by collectors so they are willing to pay high-banderol to have it.

This is evidenced by one of the 1968 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 units which was auctioned off on the Bring A Trailer website. This car still looks tough with some changes made by ICON 4x4. The change includes a Ram Jet V8 350ci engine with a five-speed system and a disposal system made of stainless steel material.

Reporting from the Bring A Trailer page, Wednesday, October 11, the front bumper has been changed, then the FJ40 is painted in Metallic Gray color with a touch of gray and black equipped with a black soft top that features this car just like the army car in ancient times.

Despite appearing different from the original version, the FJ40 still retains its original design with a stiffer shape. This car is equipped with 285/75 BF Goodrich tires of all terrain with a sturdy 16-inch rim. The car, which is still referred to as the Truck' in its time, is equipped with a shock Old Man Emu Nitrocharger and power steering.

Moving to the interior, this second-generation Land Cruiser is equipped with a front seat coated with a black vinyl with a gray motif insertion. The bedliner material is applied to the floor and the engine-transformed trim accent on the dashboard.

The wheel of three bars adorns the interior in front of the Westach speedometer with a speed gauge limit of up to 140 mpj (225 km/h). Conventional cluster instruments include several measurements such as cooling liquid temperature, voltage, fuel, and oil pressure.

The odometer also shows the figure of 2,200 miles or 3540 km with 100 miles or 160 km used by current owners. Thanks to the history and changes in this car, this Truck' has sold at a quite fantastic price.

The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, which was restored by ICON, has been sold for US$120,000 or equivalent to Rp1,885 billion.
