JAKARTA - Fiat has just announced the presence of a hybrid version of Fiat 600, which will be available starting in 2024 for countries where electric cars are not yet popular.

FIAT and CMO Global Stellantis CEO Olivier Francois explained that although the company's main focus is electric cars, they want to remain relevant in countries like Italy that haven't fully turned to electricity. Therefore, they will offer advanced versions of the hybrid.

"Our strategic vision remains fully electric, and 500e, which is the best sales electric car in the city car category in Europe, prompts us to continue to strive to make electric cars really accessible to everyone. However, we also want to remain relevant in certain countries such as Italy, our domestic market, where electric cars have not fully developed," he said, in the Stellantis media room, September 18.

The New Fiat 600 Hybrid will have a MHEV engine with a power of 100 dk and low CO2 emissions. This will be available at two trim levels, namely La Prima, which is the most exclusive version, and the New Fiat 600 Hybrid, which is more affordable.

The MHEV engine mounted on the New Fiat 600 Hybrid is a technology that provides convenience and performance.
