Lamborghini Is Still Confused About The Voice Of The Electric Car

JAKARTA - Lamborghini, a luxury Italian car manufacturer known for its violent vehicles, is now in the midst of major challenges. Lamborghini plans to launch an electric car in 2028 with a concept model called Lamborghini Lanzador. However, one big question that remains unanswered is how the sound of this Lamborghini electric car will sound.

At his debut at Monterey Car Week, Lamborghini Lanzador Concept 2028 caught the attention of many people.

"Giving a fully electric Lamborghini Lanzador concept car during Monterey Car Week is an important milestone in the history of our company and shaping our path towards decarbonization and electrification," said Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobile Lamborghini, in the company's media space, August 21.

But it is known, one of the characteristics of Lamborghini is the sound of the machine that booms and inspires adrenaline. However, turning to electrical technology, creating a voice equivalent to a fuel engine is a big challenge.

"To be honest, this is a challenge. Lamborghini is currently studying various ways to create a sound that fits the electric car," Rouven Mohr Chief Technical Officer Lamborghini told Carbuzz, August 23.

Mohr explained further, they have paid close attention to how to create sound for electric motors.

"What we don't want is to create something fake, imitating the sound of the combustion engine. This is not the direction we are taking. The final sound is still in the development stage," he said.

Mohr also revealed that Lamborghini still has time to overcome this challenge. They are working with experts and conducting clinical trials with consumers to understand how the sound fits into the electric car developed.

Lamborghini Lanzador will begin production in 2028, and another question that arises is whether Lamborghini will retain the two-door design shown by the concept.

"Currently we are very confident in the two-door concept. While the management model will remain in the future. If you need more doors, you have to buy both," he concluded.
