Debut In Indonesia, All-New Honda CR-V Wins Car Predicate With Highest Safety

JAKARTA - Since its global debut in 2022, All New Honda CR-V has received several positive responses regarding all aspects.

These aspects include a reliable design, technology, and performance that is different from the previous generation. In addition, Honda is also able to provide the SUV with the highest level of safety and security systems.

This is evidenced by the results achieved by All New Honda CR-V in the recent ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia) safety test.

In the test, All New Honda CR-V managed to achieve the highest safety value, namely five stars with 87.16 out of 100.

The car, which has just greeted the Indonesian market, has gone through a series of hit-and-match tests with the best results. For the front and side collision tests, the All-New Honda CR-V scored 77.07 out of 100.

Then, for the safety of adults, the sixth generation Honda CR-V won 31.45 out of 32. Then for the safety of children, the SUV scored 45.81 out of 51.

This figure was followed by positive results from other tests such as Safety Assist Technologies with 19.50 out of 21 and the safety of motorcyclists with 9.05 out of 16.

Yusak Billy, as Sales & Marketing and Aftersales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), said that the achievement of the All-New Honda CR-V was thanks to the safety features presented so that they could pass the procedures and rigorous testing from ASEAN NCAP.

"The achievements achieved by All New CR-V further show Honda's commitment to the safety of its users and realize a vision to create a safer environment for drivers and all road users," Billy said in his official statement, Monday, August 21.

Honda is the manufacturer with the most models that have got the highest score from ASEAN NCAP over the past ten years. Since 2012, ASEAN NCAP has tested several models from Honda, such as City, Civicm CR-V, Jazz, HR-V, BR-V, WR-V, Brio, Brio Amaze, and Accord.

In Indonesia, the All-New Honda CR-V is presented with two heart runway options, namely a 1.5 liter gasoline machine and a 2.0 liter gasoline engine equipped with the Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) system.

The initial variant of Honda CR-V 2024 is equipped with a 1.5 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, which produces up to 187 dk of power and 243 Nm of torque. This variant is available with a two-wheel drive system (2WD) and all wheels (AWD).

As for the hybrid variant, the Honda CR-V e: HEV RS has a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder Atkinson Cycle DOHC in collaboration with two electric motors, generating up to 204 dk of power and 335 Nm of torque and 1.06 kWh of lithium-ion battery.

The manufacturer with the "H" logo also features safety features in "Honda Sensing", which consists of Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow (ACK with LSF), Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW), Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) and Auto High Beam (AHB).

Regarding prices, for type 1.5 L turbo, it is priced at IDR 739.9 million (OTR Jakarta). Meanwhile, for type 2.0 L or All New CR-V Hybrid, the price is IDR 799.9 million (OTR Jakarta).
