JAKARTA - Mazda's Brand Holder Agent (APM) in Indonesia, PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI), officially released one of the major SUVs to the country's market, Mazda CX-60.
Mazda CX-60 is one of Mazda's many electrification cars. There are several variants of CX-60 that are presented in the global market, two of which are Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) and Mild-hybrid.
For the Indonesian market, PT EMI decided to bring the Mild-hybrid variant. This is because they want to maintain the "Jinba-Ittai" philosophy in the SUV by offering reliable performance.
"When it comes to electrification, it's clear that PHEV is the best. But about driving performance, Mild-hybrid is better," said Ricky Thio, Head of Director of PT EMI during a media conference session, at SCBD, Wednesday, July 26.
Even though he has presented a CX-60 Mild-hybrid, Ricky said that it is possible that the PHEV variant will be present in Indonesia in the future.
"Some time in the future we will bring some models. To be sure, we will often see several Mazda cars that have been electrified, whether they are hybrid, mild-hybrid, and PHEV," added Ricky.
PT EMI presents two variants of Mazda CX-60, namely Edition and Elite Edition, both of which have been embedded with Mazda's M-Hybrid Boost or Mild-Hybrid System technology.
Thanks to the M-Hybrid Boost technology with a capacity of 48V, this can increase fuel efficiency from CX-60 which has impressive performance.
Along with this system, the SUV is equipped with a 3.3 liter e-Skyactiv-G turbocharged 6-cylinder engine which can produce up to 280 dk of power and a 450 Nm torque.
Meanwhile, the PHEV version has a smaller heart capacity. With a 2.5 liter e-Skyactive naturally-assired engine with a power force of up to 189 TK and a torque of 261 Nm.
