PLEDIS Will Debut SEVENTEEN's New Sister, January 2024

JAKARTA - PLEDIS Entertainment will soon debut a new K-pop group in 2024. The agency confirmed that they are preparing a new group that is planned to debut in the first quarter of 2024.

JTBC reports the group will consist of five to six members, some of whom are from abroad.

"It's true, we are preparing for the debut of the new male group PLEDIS in the first half of 2024," said the agency.

"Information about their debut has not been shared. We will provide information later and we ask for your attention," he said.

This will be the first group to be founded by PLEDIS Entertainment since they debuted SEVENTEEN in 2015. Now, SEVENTEEN is one of the most popular K-pop groups that is at the peak of their career.

In 2020, HYBE Labels acquired Pledis Entertainment so that their agency artists took part under the rules of HYBE LABELS, SEVENTEEN, AND NU'EST.

The group fromis_9 is also managed by PLEDIS after ending the contract with Off The Record. Then, Nana ex After School joined and extended her exclusive contract three times since debuting in 2009.

In 2022, NU'EST's exclusive contract expires so Aron, JR, and Ren opt out of the agency. Baekho and Minhyun continued their contracts as soloists and declared NU'EST disbanded.

Now, PLEDIS manages SEVENTEEN, FROMIS_9, and Nana as actresses.
